For Kaanapali Golf, The Kaanapali Kai course is considered the easier of the two courses here, but with-out proper ball placement you will be in trouble with this course. Ka'anapali Kai features tight fairways, and over bunkered greens means lay ups come into the picture often. Bring the old beach wedge. The Kaanapali Golf company has finished a major renovation and the course is in excellent condition. Natural plants and bushes along the fairways add to the beauty and enjoyment of this course. Deep bunkers, canal, lava out, and gulches make up just some of the hazards facing the golfer. Views from this course are fantastic and when the whales are in Maui they are easily visible from many holes along the layout. More attention has been brought to the Ka'anapali area with the exciting "Big Break Ka'anapali" television show on the Golf Channel. This can be a very enjoyable course to play, you will feel it is different each time you go out. Best tee times are in the morning, midday can get toasty if the trades do not pick up.
