Pukalani golf course is situated in Upcountry Maui at 1,100 foot elevation. In Hawaiian pukalani means "heavenly hole" and that describes this course here on Maui.
At the higher elevation you will be playing natural hazards that are slightly different from the fatter courses, wide rolling fairways bordered by tall Pine trees, high brush grass and the winds.
Greens are what you expect from a mountain course, larger landing areas, many shelves and fast slopes.

On Maui in the Pukalani area showers are frequent in the mid afternoon but very light and almost misty in feel. The trade winds will kick up about 11:00 AM so play early if you can. The good news is the stronger the trade the less showers. I have good luck around 10:00AM then grab a bite afterwords.
