The Royal Kaanapali course is the hardest of the two courses here. The Kaanapali courses have gone through a major recent renovation and is currently in top condition. Selected to host the Wendy's Champion Skins game is proof the course was renovated perfectly. Recently the Golf channels show "BIG BREAK KAANAPALI" was held and filmed here on the Royal Kaanapali course, so come and see if you can out play the girls. Robert Trent Jones designed this course to take advantage of the undulating landscape of Maui. Expansive contoured greens challenge the simplest approach shot. The undulations in the greens are hard to pick on because of the Bermuda grass and the high sun angle.They look simple, but play hard.
